prioritize your war concerns

enough of this shilly-shallying. it is time to make your feelings known to one and all. we can’t have anymore fence-sitters, because our cause needs as many supporters as we can muster. this enemy was an ally at one time, but can no longer be trusted with those things that mattered just two decades ago,

ibook: testing ipatience

the ibook spent the weekend in the friendly clutches of the apple geniuses down at lenox mall. have you been to an apple store? you really ought to go visit, even if you don’t plan on ever purchasing anything remotely apple, because you’ll not find another store that balances geek-friendliness with gap-trendiness. it’s the kind

fire at north high ridge

ten units at my former apartment complex are on fire. the apparent cause was a gas leak, which doesn’t surprise me given the occasional aroma of the old place. addendum: the fire is not in the units along highland, where i used to live, but down along north avenue.

good day sunshine

did you go outside yesterday? i don’t know much about the weather where you are, but atlanta received an early delivery of spring.

ibook: still iwaiting

continuing from where i left off, diskwarrior trudged on through the rest of tuesday night. by the time i stumbled out of bed on wednesday morning, the progress bar had progressed another quarter of an inch. applying a thick coat of optimism, i dubbed that remaining half-inch of empty bar-space the “home stretch” and heading

the waiting game (diskwarrior 2.1)

the process started… well, the symptoms started this weekend. a couple of strange lock-ups on the ibook. the second one resulting in a machine that wouldn’t come back to life, eventually giving the dreaded flashing question-mark. i’ve supported macs before, other people’s macs, but this was a personal first. i tried booting into safe mode.

chalkdusted subversive

once again, grace is my hero.
