the way you walk and the way you talk

why, oh why, do i have new edition’s candy girl running through my head? even more bizarre is realizing that the song was released twenty years ago. 1983. i remember this being on the radio during karate class, back when i was a ten year old orange belt. our instructors kept a clock radio in the corner of the dojo, not too loud to distract, but audible enough to hear.

i neeeed you’re loooove, each and ev-er-y day.

    try this instead:

    We move like cagey tigers
We couldn’t get closer than this
    The way we walk
    The way we talk
    The way we stalk
    The way we kiss
    We slip through the streets
    While everyone sleeps
    Getting bigger and sleeker
    And wider and brighter
We bite and scratch and scream all night
    Let’s go and
Throw all the songs we know

    Into the sea
    You and me
All these years and no one heard
    I’ll show you in spring
    It’s a treacherous thing
We missed you hissed the lovecats

    hope that helps…

The funny thing is, I didn’t find The Cure until 1989′s Disintegration

It could be worse you could have “Cool it now.. You better cool it now.. eww watch out.. Your gonnna fall in love..” With the really “cool” rap part in the song.. Thank GOD I found punk ROCK EARLY… I barely escaped Manuedo with Depeche Mode.
