local? listen

not? ignore.

atlantans! romans! athenians! albanians! your state government would like you to go out and do some spending this weekend. to encourage such behavior, georgia is having another sales tax holiday. what does this mean? well, if you’re buying a new PC for less than $1,500, you won’t pay sales tax. or if you’re buying certain articles of clothing (belts, coats, bowling shoes) for less than $100 each, they will be tax free. however, if you’re wanting to replace your worn out fanny pack or buy your auntie a new wig, then you’re out of luck. in other words, you might want to use the official list to plan your shopping spree.

Romans! Skip the seven hills, move to Oregon, and enjoy no sales taxes 365 days a year! Also enjoy the worst hunger problem and schools in the country. Funny how taxes work.
