Three things for your casual perusal …

Most of my day was spent in remarkable practical and interesting corporate training, so I’m a little late on the Atlanta Blogger Trivia Recap … Jen and Tony have the highlights covered … but I have to say something …

When a pack of remarkably brilliant people put their minds to … I mean … you know, a little confidence (or just sheer bravado) can go a hell of a long way, and … :sigh: … what I’m tying to say is that radar came before diapers, diapers came before drip coffee makers, and drip coffee makers came before microprocessors. Damn it.

(We’ll get ‘em next time.)

You’ve been amazingly productive. All VERY good reads! ^_^

Are you trying to say that if we could invent radar, surely we could have invented microprocessors before disposable diapers?

The experience of Sin City was, to me, much like Kill Bill. Having heard how accurate it is of a reproduction of the graphic novels, I think my issue is with the source material itself. I now have no interest in reading the books, and I don’t think I would like them if I did. It was all too gruesome. Simply uncomfortable and disquieting with nothing else to make me think it was worth subjecting myself to. I wanted to like it. Mostly I just left the theater hanging my head low, trotting through the rain. I think the style has potential. I just wish it had been a different story.
