    It’s not really that bad — this was actually Duluth. Of course, we live in possibly the only non-majority hispanic, non-majority lily-white area, anyway — our neighborhood is like the parade of nations. we have the lesbians with the albino kid across the street (no kidding); the interracial couple; a few Indian families; the single funky Jew; some old people; one discernible red neck; and families with several different iterations of kids, and those families are of not-all-the same racial background. It could be demonstrably worse.

    The third time I saw the movie, the theater was mostly empty, but very vocal. In particular, “Aww shit!” when they were spotted on the mountain. “Ye-aahh!” when the grandpa got told to sit his fat ass down. And loud gasping at the postcard.
