Two Predictions, both mapped out on CNN’s Election Calculator. One optimistic. One cautious. Reality will likely fall somewhere in-between.
First, optimism. Obama takes 382 electoral votes. McCain takes 141. Georgia will likely go another 15 for McCain (giving a total of 156), but it makes me so happy to see our state in a lovely shade of pink.
Second, rational caution. Obama takes 278 over McCain’s 260. This shifts all the pink-leaners and several of the yellows to red. It’s not a mandate in the classic sense, but a win all the same.
What’s your call?

My electoral math was identical to CNN’s less optimistic map except with Obama taking Ohio for 298-240.
