It was just last week that I wrote about the future of social media, how it is going to become automatic and almost passive, particularly where check-in applications were concerned.
Turns out, the future is closer than I thought. Sort of. Behold: Future Check-In.
Now, this is an iPhone only application. It runs in the background thanks to iOS 4′s multitasking ability, which means it won’t work on my relatively venerable iPhone 3G, only on the 3GS and iPhone 4.
But if you’ve got the hardware and the desire to manage your Foursquare-ing with subtlety, the app is on sale in the App Store this week for a mere 99 pennies.
