remember when i mentioned this little guy?

well, the beta testing powers-that-be have decided to let us keep them and play with them and take them to dinner for an extra week. this is quite cool in and of itself, but it also looks like the testers might be on the inside track to get one of the finished products when they are released to the teeming masses. toys are good. yes, indeed.

on a related note, i am getting a new mobile phone, one of these things from these people. strangely enough, when i ordered it online last night, it looked like the website bombed out right after i submitted my information. so i did it again. it bombed out a second time. so i figured i would give it another try this morning. well, what do you know, when i got up this morning i got not one, but two emails. what did they tell me? that i am now getting not one, but two phones! the support folk tell me that i need only refuse one of the two fedex boxes upon arrival, but it’s still kind of disconcerting to order two things when you thought you’d ordered nothing.
