I Predicted The Past

The other day, I posted a comment over at Bahlactus about how I hoped the comic book industry would use 2007 to leverage more of the Internet to share insights into the creative process. Behind-the-scenes features have always held a definite fascination to me, no matter what the genre. Specifically, I said something about how the good folks at DC Comics might ought to fire off a few creator-driven podcasts, say one a week.

Well, it turns out that this is already happening. Sort of. DC has a dedicated podcast page with a nice stack of downloadable archives. Of course, it hasn’t been updated since October … and the page is incredibly plain for a company that makes its money off of full-color superheroism … but hey, they’re making an effort.

H/T to Living Between Wednesdays for clueing me in.

  1. Those podcasts are great. I wish they were updated more often, but I guess there wouldn’t really be any new material until convention season. I expect new episodes after the NYC comic con at the end of February.
